The Ryan Gibson Foundation (“TRGF”) Chapter of Excellence Award (“CEA) was established to recognize the top performing College or University organization or group in the nation that committed themselves towards a cure for blood related cancers. Originally established for Chapter’s of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, the CEA is open to all college and university organizations in the Country. This commitment towards curing blood related cancers, comes from fundraising, volunteering and awareness within their respective communities.
The Award Winner of The Chapter of Excellence Awards receives a $5,000 donation made in that Organizations name (through the Ryan Gibson Foundation) to a local cancer research center. The Award Winner may chose the research center in their area or TRGF can make a recommendation to the Award Winner to a recognized leader in Cancer Research. (All research centers must be not-for-profit).
We encourage all school organizations to participate to win The Chapter of Excellence Award (“CEA”). In order to be considered, you must have completed all activities within a calendar year. For example, all 2006 activities must be completed from January 1, 2006 to December 31st, 2006 to be considered for the 2006 Award. All entries must be received no later than March 31st of the following year. If you are interested in being considered please include a one-page summary with the following information.
Name of Organization:
Fundraising Event- Fundraising Events held within the Calendar year that raised money for Blood Cancer Research. Please indicate Name of event, Type of event, Date(s), Number of participants and amount of money raised.
Volunteer Event- Volunteer Events held within the Calendar year that volunteered through various organizations. Please indicate Name of Organization, Type of event, Date(s), Number of participants and number of man hours.
Awareness Event- Awareness Events held within the Calendar year that were held by your organization. Please indicate Name of Event, Type of event, Date(s), Number of participants and what you felt the main goal was.
